એક વાર એક આંધળો છોકરો પોતાનિ ટોપિ ઉંધિ મુકિને એક ભિડ-ભરેલ બજારમાં એક ઓટલા પર બેઠો હતો. તેનિ બાજુમાં એક બોર્ડ મુકેલુ હતુ, જેમાં લખેલુ હતુ - " હું આંધળો છુ, મારિ મદદ કરો ". એનિ ટોપિમાં માત્ર કંઇક ગણિ શકાય તેટ્લા સિક્કા હતા. એક સજ્જન માણસ ત્યાંથિ પસાર થતા હતા. એ બોર્ડ જોઇને ત્યાં ઉભા રહ્યા. એમણે કંઇક વિચાર્યુ, પછિ હસવાં માંડ્યા. તેમણે પોતાના પાકિટમાંથિ થોડા પૈસા કાઢિ એનિ ટોપિમાં મુક્યા. એનુ બોર્ડ ઉંધુ કરિ કંઇક લખ્યું. પછિ તે બોર્ડ તેનિ જ્ગ્યા પર પાછુ મુકિ દિધુ, પણ એ રિતે કે લોકો એનુ વાક્ય વાંચિ શકે.

થોડા જ સમય માં બાળકનિ ટોપિ સિક્કાથિ સારિ એવિ ભરાઇ ગઇ. સજ્જન માણસ પોતાનુ કામ કરિને પાછા એ બાળક પાસે જવા લાગ્યા. એ પાછા એ બાળક પાસે પહોચ્યા. બાળક એમના પગ નાં અવાજથિ એમને ઓળખિ ગયો. એને તરત પુછ્યુ, :" હે મહનુભવ, તમે આ બોર્ડ પર શુ લખિ ને ગયા હતાં? " એમણે કહ્યુ, મે એનિ પર એજ લખ્યુ હતુ જે સાચુ જ છે, પણ બિજિ રિતે. મે લખ્યુ કે, " દુનિયા કેટલિ સુંદર છે, પણ હુ તેને જોઇ નથિ સકતો."

સાર : એક વાત ને હંમેશા બે રિતે જોવિ જોઇએ,
પણ એમાંથિ સારિ વાત જરુર જોવિ જોઇએ.

While the Gates' are moving in from their temporary quarters nearby, final construction of their new house is not expected to be completed until the end of the year. Now if I were the contractor with a sense of humor...

Bill: "There are a few issues we need to discuss."

Contractor: "Ah, you have our basic support option. Calls are free for the first 90 days and $75 a call thereafter. Okay?"

Bill: "Uh, yeah... the first issue is the living room. We think its a little smaller than we anticipated."

Contractor: "Yeah. Some compromises were made to have it out by the release date."

Bill: "We won't be able to fit all our furniture in there."

Contractor: "Well, you have two options. You can purchase a new, larger living room: or you can use a Stacker."

Bill: "Stacker?"

Contractor: "Yeah, it allows you to fit twice as much furniture into the room. By stacking it, of course, you put the entertainment center on the couch... the chairs on the table... etc. You leave an empty spot, so when you want to use some furniture you can unstack what you need and then put it back when you're done."

Bill: "Uh... I Dunno... Issue two. The second issue is the light fixtures. The bulbs we brought with us from our old home won't fit. The threads run the wrong way."

Contractor: "Oh! Thats easy. Those bulbs aren't plug and play. You'll have to upgrade to the new bulbs."

Bill: "And the electrical outlets? The holes are round, not rectangular. How do I fix that?"

Contractor: "Just uninstall and reinstall the electrical system."

Bill: "You're kidding!?"

Contractor: "Nope. Its the only way."

Bill: " Well... I have one last problem. Sometimes, when I have guests over, someone will flush the toilet and it won't stop. The water pressure drops so low that the showers don't work."

Contractor: "That’s a resource leakage problem. One fixture is failing to terminate and is hogging the resource preventing access from other fixtures."

Bill: "And how do I fix that?"

Contractor: "Well, after each flush, you all need to exit the house, turn off the water at the street, turn it back on, reenter the house and then you can get back to work."

Bill: "That’s the last straw. What kind of product are you selling me?"

Contractor: "Hey, if you don't like it, nobody made you buy it."

Dear Mr. Bill Gates,

This letter is from Banta Singh from Punjab. We have bought a computer
for our home and we found problems, which I want to bring to your
notice.

1. After connecting to internet we planned to open e-mail account and
whenever we fill the form in Hotmail in the password column, only ******
appears, but in the rest of the fields whatever we typed appears, but
we face this problem only in password field. We checked with hardware
vendor Santa Singh and he said that there is no problem in keyboard.
Because of this we open the e-mail account with password *****.
I request you to check this as we ourselves do not know what the password is.

2. We are unable to enter anything after we click the 'shut down '
button.

3. There is a button 'start' but there is no "stop" button. We request
you to check this.

4. We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friend clicked 'run '
has ran upto Amritsar! So, we request you to change that to "sit", so
that we can click that by sitting.

5. One doubt is that any 're-scooter' available in system? As I find
only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.

6. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost
the door key and we tried a lot for tracing the key with this ' find',
but unable to trace. Is it a bug??

7. Every night I am not sleeping as I have to protect my 'mouse' from
CAT, So I suggest u to provide one DOG to kill that cat.

8. Please confirm when u are going to give me money for winning
'HEARTS' (playing cards in games) and when are u coming to my home to collect
ur money.

9. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft
sentence', so when u will provide that?

10. Please congirm about "exit" button because here is only "Enter" no "exit"

This thousands of year old epic can still leave a positive energy on our minds on the condition if we read and implement it carefully.....................

1. Why do you worry? Whom / what do you fear? Who can kill you / harm you? The soul is never born... nor is it subject to death.

2. What has happened, has happened for some good (in the long run). What is happening is also for some good, and what will happen, will be also for your good. So, don't repent about the past, neither worry about the future. The present is here, so live it.

3. What have you lost that you grieve? What did you bring along (at your birth) that you lost? What did you produce / created (on your own without God's grace) that has been destroyed?? You never brought anything along (materialistic things / emotions / etc). Whatever you gained, you gained it from here (the world). Whatever you loose/lost, you lost it here only. (you don't take anything along at your death). Whatever you gained, you gained from God, and whatever you lost, you lost it to Him. You came empty handed, and you leave empty handed. What is yours today, will belong to someone else tomorrow and to another person at some other time. What you take as yours (the material things / emotions / relations etc.) and feel so contended, those very things and the feeling of contention resulting from such thoughts, are the real cause of your sufferings.

4. Change is the essence of Life / world. What you think as Death, is in fact a new beginning in itself, a new life. In one moment you (may) become a millionaire, the next moment you (may) become poor. Remove such (extreme) emotions / thoughts like.... yours & mine, big & small (great & small), ours & yours, etc.... then you will see that all belongs to you and you belong to all. (Like Buddhaâ€™s philosophy of middle-path and balance)

5. Neither this body is yours nor you (soul) belongs to this body. It is composed of / made from Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Space and will dissolve into these (at your death). But soul is eternal, then WHO ARE YOU ?? Surrender yourself to the God (Brahma). This is the best refuge / support. He who knoweth this refuge / support, he is absolved of all fear, worries, sufferings, sorrow.

6. Whatever you do, just surrender your achievements (or perceived loss / failure) to that lord. This way you will experience eternal bliss void of any EGO (and desires and sorrows).

The Legend - MAHATMA GANDHI

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi and indian known as " BAPU " , was born in Porbander a coastal town in present-day Gujarat, Western India, on 2 October 1869. His father, Karamchand Gandhi (1822-1885), who belonged to the Hindu Modh community, was the Diwan (Prime Minister) of the eponymous Porbander State, a small princely state in the Kathiawad Agency of British India. His mother, Putlibai, who came from the Hindu Pranami Vaishnava community, was Karamchand's fourth wife, the first three wives having apparently died in childbirth.

May 1883, the 13-year old Mohandas was married to 14-year old Kasturbai Makhanji (Known as Kasturba) in an arranged child marriage. On 4 September 1888, less than a month shy of his nineteenth birthday, Gandhi traveled to London, England, to study law at University College London to train as a Barrister.

Gandhi's message was one of peace and compassion: that one's actions profoundly affect the world in which one lives. In today's world fraught with tension and conflicts, the universal teachings of Gandhi including non-violence, love and fraternity have an enduring relevance. Humanity as a whole could benefit immensely by following the path he illuminated: peace, friendship, tolerance and primacy of humane conduct.

Gandhi was nominated in 1937, 1938, 1939, 1947 and, finally, a few days before he was murdered in January 1948. The omission has been publicly regretted by later members of the Nobel Committee; when the Dalai Lama was awarded the Peace Prize in 1989, the chairman of the committee said that this was "in part a tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi". However, the committee has never commented on the speculations as to why Gandhi was not awarded the prize, and until recently the sources which might shed some light on the matter were unavailable.

In South Africa Gandhi worked to improve living conditions for the Indian minority. This work, which was especially directed against increasingly racist legislation, made him develop a strong Indian and religious commitment, and a will to self-sacrifice. With a great deal of success he introduced a method of non-violence in the Indian struggle for basic human rights. The method, satyagraha – "truth force" – was highly idealistic; without rejecting the rule of law as a principle, the Indians should break those laws which were unreasonable or suppressive.

Owing to his poor health, Gandhi was released from prison in 1925. Over the following years, he worked hard to preserve Hindu-Muslim relations. He fasted many times when Hindu-Muslim riots broke out.

તમે મા બાબતે કેટલું જાણો છો ?
ગ્મે તેટલી ઉમરના છોકરા કે છોકરીને ઍક સવાલ પૂછો કે મા કેવી છે? તમને મોટાભાગે ઍક જ જવાબ મળશે - ફૂલ્થી પણ કોમળ અને ક્યારેક પત્થરથી પણ સખ્ત. માતાનુ દ્રેક ક્ષ્ણ બદલાતા આ રૂપ તમે પણ જોયુ હશે અને ક્યારેક ટી જોઈને તમને નવાઈ પણ લાગી હશે ને? ક્દી વીચાર આવતો હશે કે માતાનો વ્યવહાર કેમ ક્દી ઍક સરખો નથી રેહ્તો?

મા વીશે આ નહી સમજાય પણ જે મા છે તે જ જાણે છે, કે પછી તમે મા બનશો ત્યારે તમને સમજાશે. શબ્દો , રીતભાત બદલશે પણ મા નહી. મા યથાવત રહે છે. માનુ અમુક વર્તન આપણને સમજાતુ નથી.

The total population of the state consists of Hindus, Muslims and Jains. Zorastrians or Parsis can also be seen in Gujarat.

The fourth regional group which may have been a native of Gujarat is the community of aboriginals, locally known as 'Bhils', inhabit the hilly tracts of Gujarat that border the plains from Abu in the north to Dangs in the south. The Bhils may be regarded as a hybrid group in Gujarat, on the one hand absorbing Rajput blood and on the other representing a tribal sub-stratum. The Bhils regard themselves as belonging to the Kshatriya caste who had to take shelter in the hills of the Vindhyas and the Satpuras, along the lower Narmada, to save themselves from the wrath of the Brahmin hero, Parashuram. The Bhils of Gujarat thus do not possess any racial basis distinct from the other inhabitants of the region.

The caste system is strictly followed by the Hindus of Gujarat. Besides the 'Brahmins' and the 'Banias' whose functions and occupations are fairly well determined, the community of 'Patidars' owning land is the strongest force in the economic and political life of the state. Patidars, also called Patels, are the best agriculturists of Gujarat. They are grouped into four categories namely Levas, Kadawas, Anjana and Uda. The Levas are most shrewd and are concentrated in central Gujarat. The Kadawas are most numerous in Mehsana district.

The tribals of Gujarat are found concentrated in the south-eastern part of Gujarat particularly in the district of Panchmahals, Surat, Baroda, and Broach. The main tribal groups are the Bhils, the Dublas, the Naika-Narkdas, the Gamits and the Dhankas.
